NED Beards Competition
Promoter
Blue Sky Drinks Co, trading as NED Whisky (ABN 16 169 376 167) (“Promoter”).
Eligibility
Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years or over. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families, and any agencies associated with this Promotion, are ineligible to enter.
Promotion Period
The Promotion commences at 12:00am AEST on the 4th of May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on the 15th of June 2026, (“Promotion Period”). Entries received outside this period will not be accepted.
Nature of Competition (Game of Skill)
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each valid entry will be individually judged based on merit.
Judging criteria are as follows:

Beard Quality & Condition (25%) – Fullness, health, grooming standard, and overall maintenance of the beard.

Style & Craftsmanship (25%) – Shape, definition, and evidence of deliberate styling choices. Does it suit the entrant’s face shape?

Originality & Personality (25%) – Uniqueness of the style. Does it stand out? Does it reflect the entrant’s individual character?

Independent / NED Spirit (25%) – How well the beard embodies the bold, larrikin, Australian identity of the NED brand. Think character and authenticity — not just aesthetics.
Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Promoter, which may include at least one independent external judge.
How to Enter
To submit a valid entry, participants must complete both of the following steps during the Promotion Period:
1. Submit the official entry form at https://nedwhisky.com.au/blogs/news/next-gen-ned-australia-s-best-beard completing all required fields; and
2. Post a photo of their beard on the NED Whisky pinned post on Facebook or TikTok, or tag themselves on the pinned NED Whisky Instagram post.
Both steps must be completed for an entry to be valid.
Entries must be original and created by the entrant. Multiple entries per person are not allowed. The Promoter reserves the right to edit, remove, or otherwise moderate any posts regarding the competition on its owned social media channels.
Prize
The total prize pool is valued at up to AUD $3,000. The winner will receive:

$2,000 in fuel vouchers

Their face featured on a limited-edition NED Whisky bottle (subject to production and design requirements)

Two (2) bottles of NED Whisky per month for 12 months
The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law.
If any part of the prize becomes unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.
Winner Selection and Notification
A shortlist will be created of five (5) finalists within 7 days of the Promotion Period closing.
The final winner will be selected from these finalists based on the judging criteria by the panel before the 29th of June 2026.
The winner will be notified via email and/or direct message within 2 business days of selection.
If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Public Announcement of Winner(s)
The winner’s first initial, last name, and postcode will be published at https://nedwhisky.com.au/blogs/news/next-gen-ned-australia-s-best-beard for a minimum of 30 days.
Verification
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including identity, age, and residency). Failure to provide suitable proof may result in disqualification.
Use of Entries & Intellectual Property
By entering, entrants grant the Promoter a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify, and publish their entry content (including images and videos) for promotional and marketing purposes in any media.
Entrants consent to their likeness being used in connection with the Promotion, including potential use on product packaging (e.g., limited-edition bottle artwork), without additional compensation.
Entrants agree that the Promoter may contact them during the Promotion Period to confirm availability and discuss potential participation in in-person promotional activities related to the competition. Such contact will not affect or increase their chances of winning.
Marketing Communications
Entrants may separately opt in to receive marketing communications from the Promoter by ticking the relevant box on the entry form. Opting in to marketing communications is not a condition of entry and will not affect an entrant’s chances of winning. Entrants may unsubscribe at any time.
Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information from entrants for the purposes of administering this Promotion. Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, available at https://nedwhisky.com.au/pages/privacy-policy. Entrants may contact the Promoter at marketing@blueskydrinks.com.au to access or correct their personal information.
Social Media Disclaimer
This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, Meta, or TikTok. Entrants release these platforms from any liability associated with the Promotion.
General
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any costs incurred by entrants in entering the Promotion.
If for any reason this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, the Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion, subject to applicable laws.
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes any rights under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting the prize.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia.
