We’re not doctors but we do know a thing or two about distilling. And like many others in the industry, we want to put our shoulder to the wheel and join the collective effort and provide as much assistance as we can in this time of crisis.
That’s why from this week we have adapted our facility in Campbellfield to enable the manufacturing of sanitiser-grade ethanol.
While NED Sanitiser will be available to customers for purchase through our retailer partners and our website, we will be prioritising production for use by essential services and those most in need.
We have a distillery and production facility that can produce sanitiser ethanol in commercial quantities, so we felt it was important to use this resource to produce this product at scale for those on the front lines of the fight.
Capacity increase over the coming period to 150,000 bottles/week. We are in the process of re-purposing one of our whisky stills to produce the ethanol and will be able to produce 5000 litres of sanitiser every day at full capacity.
The bulk of ethanol in Australia is currently produced north of Victoria, in NSW and Queensland. As lockdowns and travel restrictions increase, our distillery in Melbourne will be able to support and supply the broader community in Victoria during the emergency, for as long as it takes.
Stay Safe, Stay Positive, Stay Home. That’s The Spirit.
